For the past four years, Grimshaw has collaborated with Strada Investment Group and the Port of San Francisco on the redevelopment of Piers 30/32 and the adjacent Sea Wall Lot residential parcel. The Port’s vision for this project is to revitalize these sites with a dynamic, financially viable, mixed-use development that fosters a vibrant, welcoming urban waterfront neighborhood.
Over the last six months, I have worked closely with the developers on the overall massing and design of the residential parcel in preparation for the entitlements submission. The project will feature 700 residential units, including affordable, market-rate, and high-end offerings, distributed across three buildings. Additionally, the development will incorporate ground-floor retail, diverse amenity spaces, and landscaping designed by Field Operations. As a key member of the team, I have contributed to shaping the program, defining unit layouts, refining massing, establishing building identities, and preparing final CGIs and presentations for the City of San Francisco. I have also played a central role in coordinating consultants and compiling the drawing package for the entitlements submission, which is set to be submitted in early 2025.
